Privacy policy

This site is run by VanGotThis, a UK-based independent artist. It collects the minimum personal data needed to sell and deliver original artworks — nothing more.

What we collect and why

• When you buy a piece: your name, email address, payment details and shipping address are collected by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card details. We keep your name, email and shipping address to fulfil the order, issue your certificate of authenticity, and arrange delivery.
• Certificates: your name appears on your certificate of authenticity. The public verification page shows your name (or a redacted email if no name was given) so provenance can be confirmed — tell us if you would like it redacted.
• Commission enquiries: the name, email and message you submit are emailed to the artist so they can reply. They are not used for marketing.

What we don't do

• No advertising or analytics trackers, and no marketing emails.
• No sale or sharing of your data with third parties beyond the processors below.
• The only cookie set is a login cookie for the artist's own admin area — visitors and buyers receive no cookies from us. (Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout.)

Who processes data for us

Stripe (payments), Railway (site hosting, EU region) and our email provider (order and certificate emails). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request a copy, correction or deletion of your personal data at any time (order records may be retained where required for tax or legal purposes). Contact us via the contact form or Instagram @vangotthis. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled you may complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
